Combustion can occur if...
• Engaging the battery for longer than 10-12 seconds without drawing from the box. Vapor begins forming after 3-5 seconds, if the user does not start drawing after vapor begins to form, the box will continue heating up, resulting in combustion temperatures being reached.
• A torn screen - a torn screen can result in portions of the screen heating up much greater than other portions, these concentrated points of heat can lead to combustion. If you determine this is the cause of your combustion, please select "Torn Screen" from the list above.
• Not a fine enough grind - a coarse grind means that there is less surface area of herbal material in contact with the screen at any given time. A low surface area of material in contact with the screen results in ineffective vaporization, users may compensate for this by holding the battery in for a longer duration without drawing resulting in combustion.
When combustion occurs, it does not interfere with the functionality of the box. A burnt taste may linger, but it will disappear after a deep cleaning of the box. A discoloration will remain on the screen, but this is merely cosmetic and does not interfere with Box functionality. For a video on how to properly clean your MFLB, click here.
