?
BC contributors cover the Events, Interviews, Conferences, and Awards in their areas. This may include writing articles, reviewing albums, editing copy, taking photographs, recording and/or editing videos depending on what you are open to doing.
Where do BC contributors work? Are BC contributors required to come to the BREATHEcast office regularly?
BC contributors who are not located near a BREATHEcast office can work from where they are. They will communicate with the main office via the web.
BC contributors who are located near an office may be required to come into the office periodically according to an agreement made between BREATHEcast and the BC contributor.
How long do BC contributors work for?
BC contributors generally commit 6 - 12 months. Standard is 6 months. There are many that continue to contribute as long as they can. Some others have gone on to do other things, like Jamie Grace - to become Dove award winning artists. :)
Do BC contributors need cars?
It is helpful, however not required, for BC contributors to have a car available for their use in order to get to and from events. All BC contributors must find their own means of transportation and are not expected to be reimbursed.
As a BC contributor, is there a set of events that the BC contributor is required to attend? Can the BC contributor select the events that he/she wants to attend?
No, there is no required set of events that BC contributor has to attend. BC contributors will have the opportunity to select the events that he/she would like to cover and the bands that he/she wants to interview, etc.
Is there insurance to cover BC contributor's equipment if it gets damaged while contributing to BREATHEcast?
No, BREATHEcast does not provide insurance for any equipment used during time of contribution.
Is there insurance to cover BC contributor's car if it gets damaged or if the BC contributor gets hurt in an accident during his/her time of contribution?
No, BREATHEcast does not provide insurance to cover accidents.
Does the BC contributor have to pay to get into the events that he/she wants to attend?
The BC contributor will be able to attend all events for free through BREATHEcast. BREATHEcast will give access to all events through attaining media passes for intern.
Will the BC contributor need to contact the media people at the venue or bands himself/herself?
BREATHEcast will contact the venue and the bands to do the initial set up for the media passes and for interviews. We will provide BC contributors with the contact information for specific people that BC contributors must be in contact with.
How much access does a BC contributor's media pass give him/her?
A media pass entitles the BC contributor to entrance to conference, events, workshops, and more. It also entitles BC contributors to admission to all on-site events specified. Depending on the type of event, there may be special areas for the press, as well as access to the backstage. We will confirm details with you for each event.
Will the BC contributor be able to use the photos that the BC contributor takes for his/her portfolio?
Yes! However, we do have the policy that BC contributors shall not sell or send the photos to other organizations for the exclusive usage of BREATHEcast, except for special cases.
