• NAWBO SFBA Professional Development Forum Speaker Application & Agreement

    Guidelines & Agreement: Thank you for offering your expertise in support of women business owners! NAWBO requires potential speakers to submit an application for each specific topic they would like to present. Submitting an application is not a guarantee that you will be selected to present. We recommend that you speak directly with the facilitators. You can find them on our website under Programs. Members may speak once per calendar year at each breakfast. Being a speaker at a Professional Development Forum is a member benefit, which promotes them and their business. We ask that members register and pay for their breakfast in support of NAWBO. Non-members may speak once per year free meaning no charge for this marketing opportunity, however, speaker is expected to register and pay for the breakfast in support of NAWBO. There is a $100 fee (includes breakfast registration) for subsequent speaking opportunities. Promotional Opportunity – Media Exposure for Speakers • Speaker and presentation information is placed on our website for 30-45 days depending on date information is submitted by speaker. • One - two dedicated emails featuring speakers will be sent prior to the presentation to a list of ~200-300. • Speaker and presentation placed on NAWBO’s online calendar and registration calendar. • Links to website information from other NAWBO eblasts (~11 eblasts) for month preceding presentation (~2,000 on mailing list) • Distribution of these e-publications through our affiliate networks. • Presentation to NAWBO Breakfast Forum attendees (women business owners) Presentations are 15 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for Q&A. Members can contact you for additional information following your presentation. Prioritize your top 3-5 points to ensure your presentation will fit into the time allotted. - Bring a simple handout that members can take with them. NAWBO views these spotlights as opportunities for mutual professional development, to hone your speaking skills, and offer content that benefits women business owners. We ask that you not structure your spotlight as a promotion for your business. Again, thank you for offering your expertise.
