Policies and Procedures
Thank you for choosing Pampered Paws for your pet’s grooming needs. Pampered Paws prides itself on providing the best care for your best friend.
There are some policies Pampered Paws would like to inform you, the owner, of before grooming your pet:
Sometimes grooming can expose or exacerbate a hidden pre-existing condition. Pampered Paws will always bring anything the groomer may find to the owner’s attention. We cannot diagnose a condition, but may advise the owner to seek veterinary attention.
If your pet has any medical problems, Pampered Paws asks to be made aware of them (i.e. seizures, arthritis, collapsing trachea, etc.) so that the groomer may take whatever steps needed to keep your pet comfortable.
If you pet has any history of biting, Pampered Paws requires notification of this. The possibility of biting will not affect whether Pampered Paws may try to groom your pet, but it can help prevent injury. Pampered Paws reserves the right to use a muzzle during the groom, please be advised this is a last resort option for us. If your pet has some behavior issues, Pampered Paws will be happy to do what we can to help work through them.
We take great pride in offering your pet a relaxed grooming experience inside the comfort of their own home. We also take great pride in leaving your home in the same condition it was upon our arrival. While we cannot guarantee that there will be no small traces of hair left behind, Pampered Paws will thoroughly clean the grooming area before we depart your home.
Cancellations happen and we understand schedules sometimes change. If you must cancel we ask that you give 24 hours notice. Failure to give 24 hours notice may result in a $35 cancellation fee. Chronic cancellations may result in the inability to book future appointments and a cancellation fee up to the amount of the grooming.
If we arrive and find no one home you will be subject to a $35 trip fee. Habitual no shows may be subject to a fee up to the price of the grooming and may no longer be able to schedule future appointments.
There is a $50 fee for returned checks.
Although accidents are exceptionally rare, there is always a minute risk when working on a pet. Because of that Pampered Pets would like to make you aware of our policies and procedures in the event of an incident. Our promise to you is that any incident will be reported to the owner immediately. If necessary we will transport your pet to a veterinarian. Any veterinary bills resulting from a pet being matted, senior, or from a pre-existing or unforeseeable condition will be the sole responsibility of the owner. Safety is our number one concern. We believe in honoring the trust you’ve given us by returning it to you.
