Professional Environment Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) and Oklahoma Standards 9, 10, 13 and 15.
Competency 9: The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particulary the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner.
Competency 10: The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles and opportunities to take responsibility for student learning, to collaborate with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth, and to advance the profession.
Competency 13: The candidate understands the legal aspects of teaching, including the rights of students and parents/families, as well as the legal rights and responsibilities of the teacher.
Competency 15: The candidate understands the state teacher evaluation process, "Oklahoma Criteria for Effective Teaching," and how to incorporate these criteria in designing instructional strategies.
