Methods of Counseling
Peggi Wegener has a Specialist Degree (a year longer than a Master’s Degree) from an accredited program & is licensed by the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor. Debbie Davis has a Master’s Degree from accredited program and is licensed by the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor. We use Christian concepts to guide us in our efforts to assist you but we will not impose our beliefs on you. Each of us may suggest supplemental books to facilitate the counseling process. You will be asked to supply personal information about yourself and your family that may include (but is not limited to) information about the family you grew up in, past events in your life, ways in which you communicate, your abuse history, and your substance use. We use a variety of approaches and strategies to assist you in achieving your goals. These may include (but are not limited to) prayer, scripture reading, cognitive-behavioral strategies, family systems strategies, psychoanlytic interventions, and Bioenergetic Analysis. If your issue requires an expertise we do not have, we will assist you in connecting to an appropriate resource. We will make every effort to assist you in achieving your goals but we cannot guarantee results.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not skilled to provide services to young people under the age of 12 years old. Also, we CANNOT prescribe medication.

All appointments scheduled through our online system are for the Mandarin office. If you would like to be seen in our Jax Beach office, please let us know. Debbie Davis will call you to schedule for that office.
All sessions are kept strictly confidential, meaning, we cannot share any information you give to us, including that you have been here for counseling, without your written permission (release of information form). We will be happy to provide information to anyone you needs us to, but we will complete a Release of Information form so that we both/all know what kind of information is being shared and with whom. By Florida Law, the following are the only reasons we can give out information without your signature: 1) immediate danger to you or someone else, 2) report of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person or a disabled person, 3) court order, 4) report of unethical or illegal conduct by another mental health or medical professional. If any of these situations arise, we must give out enough information to try to keep people safe. If records are requested by you or anyone else (including a court), a summary letter will be provided.
Mandarin Christian Counseling Center is committed to keeping your healthcare information private and is HIPPA compliant. Your healthcare records are NOT transmitted electronically. Billing information will be transmitted electronically to our billing company (SEE BELOW).
If you have an urgent need to communicate with your counselor, please contact the individual via cell phone. If you have a medical or life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately.

At times we provide on-call coverage for one another. Please listen to the message on the cell phone to determine if your counselor is available or if you will need to contact another person.
Peggi Wegener: $150 initial appointment, $125/60 min. session thereafter.
Debbie Davis: $120 initial appointment, $100/60 min. session thereafter.
Methods of Payment
Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Please make checks payable to Mandarin Christian Counseling Center. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards.
A 24-hour notice is requested for persons desiring to change or cancel appointments. Persons who miss a scheduled session without any notification or who call to cancel on the same day of their appointment will be charged FULL fee for that session. Insurance and other thrid party payors (churches, EAPs) will not cover this fee. We understand that unexpected situations arise. You may speak with your counselor about your circumstances and he/she can waive this fee.
Peggi Wegener is IN-NETWORK for Aetna insurance and EAP as well as several other EAP programs. She is also IN-NETWORK for Tricare Standard.
Debbie Davis is IN-NETWORK for Tricare Standard, Aetna insurance and EAP as well as several other EAP programs.
We are not in-network for any other insurance provider. Here are the questions YOU need to ask your insurance provider in order for YOU to determine if your insurance will cover services rendered by our staff.
1. Do you have "out-of-network benefits"? If not, then insurance will NOT help you pay for our services.
2. If yes, do you have benefits if services are rendered by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor? A Registered Marriage and Family Intern? If not, then insurance will NOT help you pay for our services.
3. If yes, what is your out-of-network deductible?
4. Once your deductible is met, what will your insurance company pay? Insurance frequently pays a percentage of what they decide is "usual and customary" and this is often lower than our fee. Please know that you will be responsible for the difference between what your insurance pays and our fee.
5. Does your insurance plan participate with Multiplan discount program or TRPN? (This can reduce your fee with us.)
For ALL out-of-network insurance plans, you are expected to pay FULL FEE for your initial session as a good faith payment until your insurance benefits can be verified. You are responsible for paying your deductible, copayments, coinsurance and/or balance after insurance pays.
Peggi S Wegener EdS Inc (DBA Mandarin Christian Counseling Center) is utilizing Multi-Medical Specialties Billing (MMS) to process our billing and collections. MMS is fully HIPPA compliant and will not share any of your information beyond what is necessary to obtain payment from Third Party Payors (e.g., health insurance, EAP, churches) or to collect payment from you. MMS will be sending bills and collecting balances owed from our clients. They will also be assisting in reconciling outstanding claims. If you have questions regarding your bill for services rendered, you may call MMS directly at 904-421-2119 or 1-888-245-5963. They are available Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
