Procedure:
A. One Resistor .
1. Arrange the 100 Ohm resistor in series with the ammeter, open switch, and voltage source. Arrange the voltmeter in parallel with the resistor. Record the printed value for R1 and its tolerance in Table 1.
2. Close the switch and set the voltage source at 5 V. Read the ammeter. Open the switch as soon as your readings are complete. Do not leave the switch closed for more than a few seconds at a time. Record the meter readings in Table 1.
B. Two Resistors
1. Set up the circuit, as shown in Figure 1(b). Close the switch. Adjust the power supply to a set voltage on the voltmeter, such as 5 V. Read the current value on the ammeter. Open the switch. Record your readings in Table 2.
2. Move the meters to get the other readings. Record the readings in Table 2.
C. Three Resistors
1. Set up the circuit, as shown in Figure 1(c). Close the switch, adjust the power supply to the same voltage as in parts A & B, and read the meters. Open the switch. Record the readings in Table 3.
2. Move the meters to get the other readings. Record the readings in Table 3.
