The UN Working Group (WG) on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises will be conducting a country mission to the United States from April 22nd to May 1st, 2013. The purpose of the WG mission is to focus on efforts, experiences, challenges and lessons learned relating to implementation of the Guiding Principles in the United States. During this visit, ICAR will convene a broad set of civil society stakeholders to present key areas of business and human rights in the United States. and on the civil society perspective of the U.S. implementation of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This consultation will include representatives from ICAR’s Member Organizations and other civil society groups.
The event will take place at Georgetown Law, on the 12th floor of the Gewirz Student Center, from 9 am to 12:30 pm with lunch to follow.
