Nominators may be faculty or staff and should have some direct connection or supervisory role with the person nominated. Please complete this form by Friday, February 28, 2014. A subcommittee of the Arts Council will consider, evaluate, and select the award winners. Recipients will be announced by Friday, March 28, 2014, and awards will be presented at the annual awards ceremony at the Arts Festival (Friday, April 25, 4 p.m., Stokes Art Tent).
The Boston College Arts Council recognizes students who have made an outstanding contribution to the arts by fostering, expanding, or participating in the arts on campus or in the community.
•Candidates become eligible in their sophomore year.
•Candidates may receive the award only once for an ongoing contribution.
Faculty and staff may also use this form to nominate a student for the
created to "recognize a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences who has made outstanding contributions to Boston College in one of the fine or performing arts, such as music, theater, the visual arts, dance or film production." The recipient will receive a small silver bowl and a small cash grant at the A & S Awards Ceremony on Commencement weekend.
•Only seniors are eligible to recieve the Barth award.
•The deadline for the Barth award nominations is March 10.
• The Barth award is separate from the Arts Council awards,
but you can nominate a senior for both awards by filling out this form and selecting "yes" in response to the question, "Would you like to nominate this student for the Barth award?"
