Our office will be structured on a projects-based model. This means every fellow is "all hands on deck", and leaders for each project will be assigned by Senator Gordon or Chief Dang. Therefore there will be many opportunities for new fellows to learn the ropes and gain leadership experience.
Throughout the year you will be event planning, researching, writing bills, coordinating with other Elected Officials and their Offices, accompanying Senator Gordon to meetings with administrators, and providing guidance and insight into what the greatest needs of this University are. Madison and Nisa are dedicated to providing workshops and leadership training for all fellows, and we look forward to cultivating your skills throughout the year!
As a fellow in the Office of ASUC Senator Madison Gordon, you will be expected to commit 10 hours a week in total. Included in this time commitment is our bi-weekly all-team meeting.
While not every week will demand this entire time commitment, there will be points throughout the year, especially when the Office is hosting events or completing projects, that you will find yourself spending a good deal of time on Office work.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and innovative fellows who will work just as hard as us to make real change on this campus.
