SCSPA Scholarship Application

Students applying for the SCSPA scholarship must be a graduating senior who is definitely planning to attend the University of South Carolina's School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Applicants must also be on an SCSPA member staff.

USC scholarship requirements apply. Student must meet two of the three requirements (check with USC for those requirement numbers): Minimum (1)SAT or ACT (2)GPA (3)Class Rank.

SCSPA Leadership Scholarship
SCSPA awards one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who has been admitted and plans to attend the USC School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Applicants are judged on their scholastic journalism involvement, as well as their academic achievements while in high school.

SCSPA Scholastic Scholarship
SCSPA awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who has been admitted and plan to attend the USC College of Information and Communications. Applicants must have attended at least one SCSPA conference during their junior or senior year. Applicants are judged on their scholastic journalism involvement, as well as their academic achievements while in high school.

Applicants must also upload a high school transcript and two letters of recommendation to complete their applications.
