OK!  You are encouraged to do all you can to keep up.... BUT be sure to develop your own understanding of a material instead of just copying, or you and your friend (who did you a huge favor) will get in trouble.

OK!  Professors love it when you go above and beyond to learn more about the topics of their class, and they can recommend the sites they read themselves. 

Problematic!  Todd can use websites for help, but he has to develop his own arguments and his own ideas rather than copying someone else's.

Problematic! If you don't cite your sources properly, you may be accused of plagiarism.

Problematic! Your papers should be your papers, based on your own original thoughts and understanding of a subject.

OK! Bibliographies are a reference tool for people who read your papers, and want to continue research on the topic.  They also show the amount of work you put into a paper. (Don't fabricate, though!)
