Friends of Metro Parks is a membership volunteer organization created to support the diverse array of natural assets and programs of the Metro Parks. Our mission is to support the Metro Parks so that current and future generations have access to and continue to value our natural places. Support takes many forms, from serving as an ambassador to recruiting others to get involved to raising money for special Metro Parks projects.
As a member and volunteer organization, we are governed by an all-volunteer working board and accomplish our goals with and through committees also made up of volunteers. If you have a passion for the out-of-doors and the Metro Parks as whole, consider joining Friends. If your passion and skills extend to promoting and advocating for the Metro Parks, consider volunteering for a leadership role in the organization involving either committee or board work. We are looking for organizational skills, creativity, and experience with membership and volunteer development as well as fundraising. If you have any of these skills to lend, we would love to hear from you.
