This form is for use by approved Westmont College student clubs who wish to propose an event that meets one or more of the following criteria:
- expects attendance of 50 or more people
- invites people outside the scope of the club's membership (as indicated in the membership portion of the club database)
- that invites a non-Westmont speaker or organization (see policy on inviting outside speakers)
General Criteria
- This form needs to be filled out in full and submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the proposed date of the event. Submissions outside this window are not likely to be approved.
- The event must be organized and implemented by an official Westmont Student Club.
- The ethos and specific expectations of the college will be upheld.
- There are to be no significant changes to the proposed event after this form has been submitted and approved.
- Clubs are responsible for all events and actions that occur during an event. The organizing club will be held responsible for upholding the community life statement and all behavioral expectations of the College.
- Failure to follow the college event policy and procedures may forfeit a student or group's ability to host a similar event in the future.
- Club advisor (or alternative Wesmont faculty/staff member) must be present at event
Please note, copies of this submission will be automatically sent to to the WAC Clubs Coordinator as well as to your club advisor. Club advisors must approve of proposed events. It is strongly encouraged that you speak with your advisor prior to submitting the form.
