For your In-Person Session- Bring loose fitting running or gym shorts and loose fitting tank top, (cotton preferably), to change into. Please do not wear perfume, lotions of any kind, strong scented after shave, or cologne.
For your Away or Distant Session- Make sure Vicki Mah, (Release the Pain), has connected with you via Skype or has your phone number prior your appointment. (If you are using your phone, be sure it is charged). Please be in a quiet area, and schedule your session when you know you are free from distractions or interruptions. Have a glass of water nearby to quench any thirst. Parked in your car or outdoors may be an option for you.
Instructions to remember for during your session: (The following are helpful suggestions to greater improve your pain, stress, & anxiety relief).
Please notice any subtle changes that are happening during your session, such as physical feelings of pain, relaxation, fluttering (this may be the fascia and tissues reconnecting or releasing for improved health), tightness, heat, movements, or any other feelings. While it is occurring, inform Vicki of this, and describe the feeling, with it's location. It is perfectly fine if you do not notice anything.
To greater improve your benefits of the session, also notice any emotions or thoughts that might subtly show up. Take the time to feel those emotions or listen to the thoughts. Observe them, and then interrupt Vicki to share and describe them. It is perfectly fine if you do not notice anything, but if you do notice and bring it up to talk about, this will greatly increase the de-stressing process.
Please remember to lower the notifications of your cell phone.

If you have a medical condition or specific symptoms, bodywork or massage may be contraindicated. A referral from your Physician may be required prior to your session.

"If I experience pain, discomfort, or am not happy about anything during the session, I will immediately inform Vicki while it is occurring so it may be adjusted to my preference."
"I acknowledge being given the opportunity to ask questions beefore receiving any work and to question or interrupt the session at any point after the session has begun."
"I further understand that Release the Pain and Release the Stress sessions should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment and that I should see a physician or qualified medical specialist for any mental or physical ailment that I am aware of."
"I understand that massage or bodywork practitioners are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnosis, prescribe drugs or treatment, or treat any physical or mental illness. and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such."
"I understand that the Release the Stress sessions are for educational purposes."
"I have been provided with a description of services and anticipated benefits. I understand and agree to the purpose, nature, and duration of service, and consent to receive this service. Because massage therapy and bodywork should not be performed under certain medical conditions, I affirm that I have stated all of my known medical conditions and answered all questions honestly."
"I agree to keep Vicki Mah updated as to any changes in my medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on her part should I fail to do so."
"I understand that any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by me will result in immediate termination of the session, and I will be liable for payment of the scheduled session.
