Babysitter Clinic
This clinic is intended for boys and girls ages 10-18. The clinic covers a variety of topics pertaining to fire and life safety issues associated with babysitting. The clinic is 6 hours and is covered in 2 sessions on 2 separate days. Students must attend both sessions. The cost of the clinic is $30.
Basic First Aid Course
Learn how to treat injuries from bandaging scrapes and treating burns to identifying a stroke or heart attack.Students will learn how to handle serious emergencies until the ambulance arrives. The course is 3-4 hours and the cost is $25. This certification lasts for two years.
CPR Course
This course is 3.5 hours. By sucessfully completing a Mokena Fire CPR course, the participant will receive a CPR card from the American Health and Safety Institute (AHSI). The CPR certification lasts for 2 years. AHSI follows the guidelines and recommendations of the American Heart Association, and has been recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as an approved CPR curriculum. The Mokena Fire CPR courses meets the criteria for Community and Healthcare Provider certification. If you are a healthcare provider (physician, nurse, paramedic, etc), the cost of the Healthcare CPR certification is $50. The cost for a general public/community CPR card is $40.
