  • Project Abstract (no more than 500 words) must include:

    1. Use of one or more of the three archives.
    2. Theories or concepts central to the project.
    3. Methodology (i.e., teaching approach or research mode of inquiry).
    4. Significance (an explanation of why the teaching/study is important and for whom).
    5. Completed or planned public presentation of the project.

    Reference List includes:

    • Materials from the collections cited in the abstract.
    • Texts cited in the abstract that contextualize the study and substantiate claims.

    Applications may include supplemental materials such as images, video, art, publications, and hyperlinks. If students are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian of the student must also grant permission for photos or videos of students. The permission form is linked here.
