Found an Animal Form

Use this form if you have found or safely contained a domestic animal in Burien or Des Moines.

If the animal is still loose, injured, acting aggressively, or creating a safety concern, call CARES at 206-812-2737. This form does not dispatch an Animal Control Officer. Call 911 if a person or animal is in immediate danger.

Submitting a report helps CARES document the animal and attempt to locate its owner. It does not guarantee that CARES can accept the animal or give the finder ownership or permission to rehome it.

Please provide as much information as possible and upload clear photographs. Notify CARES if the animal is reunited, transferred, or moved to another location.
