1. How many racking units of "U" space do you want / need for your equipment? Note: Rackmount A/C units vary from 6-14u and will take up usable space inside your rack. Side mount units take up no internal rack space.

2. What inside usable depth do you need for your equipment? Ex. 30"d, 36"d, 42"d

3. What is the size of the room this unit will be in?

How tall are the ceilings?

4. Does the unit need to be on casters or a floor mount base? Note: Side mount air cabinets MUST be bolted to the floor. Cabinets with casters may be bolted if desired.

5. What style of A/C unit is desired? Note: A/C units over 10k BTUs are side mounts

6. What is the maximum expected ambient temperature outside of the cabinet?

8. What is the actual amount of heat dissipation from the equipment in the cabinet as measured in Watts, BTUs, or Power Consumption Watts? Note: Information can be found on manufacturer"s website or in the technical specs provided with equipment.)

9. If total Watts of dissipated heat is not known, what is the total Watts of Power Consumption for all of the equipment?

10. Do you have the ability to exhaust the warm air generated by the A/C unit out of your room if necessary?

11. Some A/C units require 230V power. Will your electrical outlets be able to accommodate 230V power?

FAQ

What if I can"t find the amount of dissipated heat my equipment generates? If you cannot find the amount of watts of dissipated heat your equipment generates, please furnish the total watts or amps the equipment uses. This can also be found on the technical data sheets or manufacturer"s web site. Rackmount Solutions can estimate the heat dissipation from the watts or amps, but it is an estimate only. We will estimate slightly high.

DELIVERY / INSTALL QUESTIONS

Dock to Dock delivery is standard. Inside Delivery is inside the front door only. These questions will assist you in placing the cabinet. If you need white glove delivery, we need these answers to book service for you. Ask your account manager for details at 1-800-352-6631.

12. Are external entryways into the building wide and tall enough for the cabinet to pass through standing straight up?

13. Will it pass through standard internal hallways and door facings straight up?

14. Are there ceiling support posts, sharp turns or curves in stairwells, hallways, or rooms that would prohibit the cabinet from passing through standing straight up?

15. What type of surface are the floors in the building the unit will be wheeled into?

16. If going into a basement or above floor level, is there a freight elevator?

17. If you don"t have a freight elevator, will the unit fit into a standard passenger elevator?

18. If not, will the unit need to be carried up or down stairs? If so, how many stairs?
