    Application for Bronze Award
  • All required questions must be answered clearly and thoroughly. Simply entering a symbol or placeholder to bypass a response is not acceptable. The more detailed and accurate your answers, the better the chances your group's project report will receive council approval.

    Important Information Please Read:

This application is for a leader-approved Bronze Award project completed in this membership year, which runs from October 1 through September 30.

Upon completing your group/troop Girl Scout Bronze Award project, the group/troop leader must complete and submit this form.

Please submit this form only once. Multiple submissions are confusing and may delay your report review. You may email awards@gsnypenn.org if you have changes after submission.

Only Juniors who have completed a Junior level Journey, including the Journey Take Action project, and have completed 20 hours toward the Bronze Award project are eligible. (Hours spent completing the Journey and the Journey Take Action project do not count toward Bronze Award hours.)

    • Junior team members must be registered Girl Scouts in 4th or 5th grade.
    • The final report is due September 30th of the year in which any group member will enter 6th grade.
    • If you have a team member entering 7th grade this year, they are a Cadette and are not eligible to earn a Bronze Award.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge that the Bronze Award is a Take Action project, not a community service project. You also understand that if the project does not meet the Take Action criteria outlined in the required prerequisite training, your group may be asked to complete additional tasks to fulfill the award requirements.

If you have any questions about completing this form, contact us at info@gsnypenn.org or call 800-943-4414, option 2.

  • TROOP/GROUP INFORMATION

  • Ideally, the required training should have been completed before starting this project, as it covers crucial guidelines and expectations. Now that the project is finished, there's a chance some requirements may not have been fully met. Your group might need to revisit or build on the project to earn the Bronze Award.

To prevent this from happening in the future, please complete any required training before beginning a Bronze or Silver Award with your Girl Scouts.

  • BRONZE AWARD PROJECT REPORT

Complete this section with the project team.
  • Bridging Brownies should not start, implement, or complete a Bronze Award project until they officially bridge to Juniors on 10/1.

  • Please answer the following questions with as much detail and information as you can. We love hearing about everything you did!

  • AWARD APPLICANT INFORMATION

Remember: The Bronze Award is a group project done by a group of Juniors or a Junior with some friends the same grade/age. We understand sometimes not all team members complete the project or the project is done by a Juliette with a group of non-Girl Scout friends. If only one applicant, please provide a brief explanation.
  • LOG OF HOURS

  • Please upload a typed Word or Excel document for the hours log.  The log should include the names of Juniors, details of the activity, and the number of hours spent. Activity hours should be in blocks of 3 hours or less. Time traveling (driving) does not count as project hours. Completing prerequisites does not count as project hours. Please total each Girl Scout's number of hours.

Please DO NOT upload a photo of a handwritten document.  These are very hard to read.

A minimum of 20 hours for each Junior is required to complete the Bronze Award.
