  • Thank you for your interest in obtaining images from the collection of The Museum at FIT. Permission to use the visual resources of The Museum at FIT is granted on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Museum. License fees apply depending on the type and nature of the intended use.  If you are a member of the press and want to request images, please contact the Division of Communications and External Relations at press@fitnyc.edu or 212 217.4700.

  • 7Not all museum objects have been photographed. Photography of oversize and/or fragile objects is at the discretion of the curator and conservator on staff and may require additional processing time and costs. Please allow 2-4 weeks to process your request.
     
  • Terms of Payment
  • Once you receive your invoice, payment is due in full and must be made in US dollars. All payment should be made out and remitted to The Museum at FIT. Accepted forms of payment are U.S. check or international wire transfer. Image requests will be released when payment is received and Rights and Reproductions Agreement is signed.
     
  • Processing time
  • Once your request is received in writing, every effort will be made to meet your publication deadline. Please allow 2-4 weeks to process your request. Following receipt and approval of your complete request, we will send you an invoice. The invoice must be paid in full, and the Rights and Reproductions Agreement signed before photography is released to you.
     
  • FIT takes various measures to protect personal data, including fulfilling its obligations under federal, state, and local law, as well as under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation to the extent it is applicable. The GDPR provides protections for various information and records while a person is located in the EU. FIT provides notice to students, employees, and website users of what type of data FIT processes and how and why that data is used and shared through information posted on the GDPR page of FIT’s Privacy website. Please review the applicable notice(s) carefully. The Privacy website also contains useful information about other privacy policies, such as FERPA and Information Technology’s Privacy Policy, and terms and conditions for the use of the FIT website and social media.
