What is TAB?
A Teen Advisory Board is a group committed to revolutionizing the way Teens use the library. TAB members will meet monthly to plan events that will benefit the youth of Logan County. Members will generate ideas, plan events, attend and lead programs, volunteer for additional library events, promote our agenda, and represent the library with a positive attitude. TAB members will regularly work in situations that develop professional skills.
Requirements for membership
TAB members must be between 13-18 years old, must commit to once monthly meetings, understand that 3 missed meetings in one year without notifying us results in termination of membership, agree to converse on an online platform, and have a passion to change the library relations with teens.
The first meeting will be held in October 10th, 2022 from 5:00-6:30 pm in the program room.
Benefits of participating in TAB
Members of the TAB will have a hand of influence in the Young Adult programming at the library. Duties of TAB members will provide experiences working with staff, the community, and collaborating with other members. Members will gain experience that will be listable on job and college applications.
Applications have been extended to September 18th, 2022 at 11:59 pm. We will call applicants to schedule interviews.
