RMC SCHEDULING POLICY
Purpose: To ensure that RMC facilities are operated in a manner that effectively meets the College’s primary mission and goals.
Scheduling Responsibilities: All academic/classroom scheduling, during the academic fall, winter, spring, and summer terms (schedule available online at https:www.rocky.edu/academics/academic-calendar), is the exclusive responsibility of the student records department. Faculty requests for classroom scheduling should be directed to the College Registrar at 406-657-1030.
All other scheduling requests including co-curricular, extra-curricular, non-college related and summer scheduling is the exclusive responsibility of the Office of Auxiliary Services. Requests for facility use should be directed to their offices at 406-657-1051.
Scheduling Policy: College facilities may be used by individuals, groups or organizations when:
- the use is in furtherance of the College’s mission and goals;
- it is in the best interests of the College and is justified by the intended purpose, function and availability and;
- provides financial resources which reduce funding requirements on student tuition and fees.
Events will be scheduled on the central scheduling system in accordance with the following scheduling policies and priorities.
- College academic events
- Facility specific events
- College sponsored events
- Student sponsored events
- College related events
- General public events
Rocky Mountain College reserves the right to deny access to College facilities if the event/program conflicts with previously scheduled programming; conflicts with College policy or procedures; or, is inconsistent with the College’s mission and goals.
Non-college related/sponsored groups and organizations. All non-academic, non-college related facility use is managed exclusively through the Office of Auxiliary Services.
All requests for facility use by external entities must be submitted to the Office of Auxiliary Services, and then approved by the Executive Vice President and Dean of Student Life (or designee). Information regarding securing access to College facilities (availability, pricing, etc.) will be made available by the Office of Auxiliary Services by calling 406-657-1051.
The scheduling of all campus facilities shall be maintained on the RMC central scheduling calendar and is administered by the RMC Office of Auxiliary Services. PLEASE NOTE: events/programs that do not appear on the central scheduling calendar are subject to cancellation.
The central scheduling calendar is accessible to the Rocky community at http://mrbs.rocky.edu. All academic and administrative offices are required to schedule their events on the central scheduling system.

NOTE: Official scheduling of all facilities must be formalized through the Office of Auxiliary Services.
