PARENT COMMITMENT

In order to avoid any misunderstanding of what is required after registration, please carefully read each commitment statement below and indicate "yes" if you are willing to commit you and your dancer to all that is listed.

There is an understanding that upon registering your child, you commit to all of the following, with the exception of personal illness, injury, or family crisis.

This IBA Dance Season is from late August to early May and my dancer is expected to continue through the final concert in May.*

I am required to arrange a payment plan with IBA Bookkeeping by Sept. 30. I also understand that all monthly payments must be set up as bank transfer payments.*

All team performances and competitions are mandatory. *

My dancer will miss some school days for performances and competitions. These will be one day in February for Utah Classic, one day for the Gem State Classic in March and a half-day for the Middle School show in April.*

All costumes are the property of IBA, and if my child loses or damages any costume or costume piece, I am responsible to pay the replacement cost.*

Keep myself informed of all classes and events, via checking e-mail frequently and visiting the IBA website.*

Register my dancer for the IBA Summer Dance Camp, unless he/she has a conflict with another camp or reunion. Camp is July 8-11.*

Financial Aid

IBA offers financial aid to those dancers who would not be able to participate without this help.

There is a family discount for those families who have three or more dancers, a discount for car pool drivers. There are scholarships for public servants (school teachers, law enforcement) and for families experiencing hardship. Mothers who sew can apply to be a sewing mother.

These are the different areas of financial assistance:

DISCOUNTS:

1. Family Discount: $10 off monthly tuition for the 3rd or 4th (or more) child currently dancing.

2. Car Pool: 10% Tuition Discount. Parents drive a weekly car pool from the Middle School or Junior High. (N/A for Senior Teams)

TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS:

Tuition scholarships (full or half) are offered to dancers according to the criteria listed below. Those receiving scholarships are asked to trade service hours at events during the dance year. Hours can be served at the SOP Day, Competitions, or by laundering costumes.

The Senior team scholarship covers 60 hours of class time. Parents must fulfill 20 hours of event help for a full-tuition 10 hours for a half-tuition scholarship.

• Public Servants: For dancers who supported by a primary-providing parent working in either public education or law enformcement.

• Hardship For dancers whose families are experiencing a hardship in finances, health or other circumstances.

COSTUME SEWING:

Sewing Mother. Sewing mothers must have experience with both a sewing machine and serger. Sewing mothers receive a tuition and fees trade by the piece for the items they sew. If you are interested in becoming a sewing mother, please check below and we will contact you to discuss your sewing experience and additional requirements.
