A short personal statement of up to 100 words telling about yourself and/or the piece you are submitting. If your submission is accepted, this statement will be included.

Requirements for submission:
The selection committee welcomes a range of written and multimedia (audio and/or video) work.
Submit only original work that has not been professionally published or shown.
Work may come from class assignments or be independent of any coursework.
You may submit a
maximum of two works
per publication cycle.
You may submit works in multiple categories (e.g., essays, poetry, photography) per issue, but you may submit only one essay per publication cycle.
Due to space considerations, the committee generally limits written work to 10 standard pages (double spaced, 12-point Times New Roman). Longer work is approved on a case-by-case basis.
Every piece submitted must include a title.
How submissions will be evaluated:
All submitted work will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of faculty, staff, and students.
The selection committee will select work for each publication with the goal of representing LWTech’s diverse students and programs of study.
The selection committee may request that a student edit or shorten a work before it will be published.
Although the committee may make minor edits to submissions to standardize spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting, committee members do not thoroughly edit submissions for students. The committee's general policy is to present work in close to its submitted form to preserve the integrity of each student's voice. Students are encouraged to edit their own work carefully before submission and to get assistance from
instructors
and
campus tutors
