Styling Suggestions and a Note on Stripes!

You'll find lots of great styling suggestions at our welcome page that apply to both photos and videos, but there are a few important things our clients should remember: clean faces for kiddos (sometimes crusty noses are the hardest to photoshop!) and wrinkle-free clothing is a big priority! If you can remember, keeping cell phone/keys out of pockets is another great tip. For our video clients, please refrain if possible from wearing fine stripes or very small patterns on clothing. It looks a little funky on film--the result is called "moire" and it causes some weird motion lines at times. Aim to turn off artificial light for our film or photos, if we are inside. Our cameras are wonderful with natural light so the extra light isn't needed! The natural light will make our film/video look awesome. =) We always travel with supplemental light if needed and everything we need to make magic! =)

Photo Editing & Heavy Retouching Rate

All delivered photos are edited for style, color correction, and corrected for light blemishes, etc. (Our work is always consistent with what you see shared our social channels and website portfolio.) This service is complimentary and already included in your portrait pricing! Extensive skin edits (removal of heavy acne, requests to airbrush fine lines or veins, wrinkle removal, etc.) may be requested at a rate of $5 per photo due to the time-consuming nature of photo retouching. These selections can be made in your final delivery gallery if you should choose to do so! If you have any concerns to start, it's always a great plan to let us know. =)
Downloading Your Images / / Print Credits // Re-Upload Fees

Once your photos are delivered, it's very important to download them and save them to a few locations within 4 weeks. After that, your gallery will expire. Additionally, any print credits/products included with your package will expire. Our promise to clients is that their gallery will remain on our server for that amount of time, but periodically we must clean out our server to make room for new photos. If photos need to be re-uploaded a $50 fee will be assessed. Print credits will not be restored. No matter what, we want you to have your photos forever!

Please note that the following items in the contract protect my creative rights and copyrights, but I never publish client photos or videos on the internet without consent. Your privacy is important to me. Part of the fun of our "24-hour Preview" is sharing to social media, and that really helps us move our business forward, as most people love to see great photos (and that's probably how you found us!) However, I'm sensitive to your concerns, and we can talk more about that during our session. Chantal Elise Photography uses excellent acumen in representing clients with photos on our social media or website. Images are only used for professional purposes. Although we do use images for advertising on occasion, we always honor the expressed wishes of clients. Your comfort and happiness is very important to us!

I understand it is illegal to copy or reproduce these photographs or videos elsewhere without the photographer/videographer's permission. A print release is supplied with the purchase of digital files to print your portraits for your own personal use. The print release does not allow publication of your portraits (i.e. entering in contests or magazines), selling or altering your images without Chantal Elise Photography's permission. I agree to honor the copyright laws as stated in this agreement.*

Photography sessions are required to be paid in full on the day that photo services are rendered. Payment may be made with cash, check, credit card with $5 additional processing fee, Venmo or Paypal. Thank you!
