IMPORTANT NOTE:  "Merry Wives of Windsor" will rehearse five days per week for major roles.  Minor characters can expect to rehearse 3-4 days per week, depending on the number of scenes in which they appear.  ALL actors will be expected to dedicate a significant amount of time outside of practice to learning their lines as quickly as possible.

*A complete rehearsal and production schedule will be distributed two days after the first reading with the full cast.  We make every attempt to accommodate reasonable schedules.  Shakespeare requires great committment.  Actors are required to attend all scheduled rehearsals with the exception of unexpected work demands or emergency/health events.  However, two, consecutive absences will result in the part being offered to another actor.  At OPS, we put you first, so we expect you to put us first.  You will be receiving professional training in performing Shakespeare.  Your committment is required.

Below, you will be asked to identify the days of the week that your regular work/school/committment schedule does not allow you to rehearse. HOWEVER, ALL ACTORS will be required to attend all scheduled rehearsals in the week leading up to the performance (tech week) as well as any and all scheduled Dress Rehearsals.  Before you sign up to audition, check your schedule.  Can you make arrangements so that you will you be able to attend DRESS rehearsals on Sept. 5th, 12th, & 19th as well as ALL, tech week rehearsals on Sept. 8th, 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th?

DESCRIPTION:

You will be auditioning for "The Merry Wives of Windsor" by William Shakespeare.  This is a serious time committment.  Actors who accept leading roles, should be prepared to dedicate 2-3 hours per day (for a principal role) to learning lines/rehearsal.
