Adaptive programs provide the DTA's tennis community with the opportunity to partner with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to foster independence through a recreational initiative. Volunteers bring the joy of tennis, physical activity, and friendship to adaptive program participants. The DTA provides all the equipment. Adaptive Tennis is led pros but relies heavily on volunteers to make the classes effective given the amount of one-on-one work that it requires.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
