Alfred M. Wellner Lifetime Achievement
Award for Research
This award, named in honor of the National Register’s first Executive Officer, is the highest honor bestowed by the National Register. It commemorates numerous, significant contributions to psychology during a distinguished career of a National Register credentialed psychologist.
The research award will honor a recipient who has made—through research—a significant lifetime contribution toward health service psychology.
Applications are due August 1, 2025.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must submit a current CV and a nomination letter. Please review upload details below to ensure your application provides the required information.
- Candidates must be actively credentialed National Register Health Service Psychologists.
- Candidates must have accrued at least 10 years of postdoctoral experience.
The National Register Awards Committee is interested in outstanding achievement in areas such as:
- Publication of interventional research measuring the effectiveness of health service psychology
- Recognition of excellence in education and training of doctoral students in health service psychology
- Dissemination of research raising awareness of effective interventions and best practices
- A successful history of grants funding to improve clinical interventions and outcomes
