    $5,000 Stipend—Two Awards Presented Annually

    Named in honor of the National Register’s Executive Officer from 1990 through 2013, this award recognizes an outstanding National Register credentialed psychologist with less than 10 years of postdoctoral experience who demonstrates excellence in advancing psychology’s role in healthcare.

    The recipients will be honored for their contributions to foster innovation in psychological practice, strengthen community well-being, advance advocacy efforts, or enhance the contributions of professional associations in health care. Achievements may include developing innovative practice tools, expanding access to mental health services, integrating psychology into health care systems, or driving policy and advocacy efforts that elevate the profession.

    Contributions that address social determinants of health or efforts to reduce health disparities—particularly those impacting marginalized or underserved communities—are especially encouraged.

    Applications are due August 1, 2025.

    Eligibility:

    • Candidates must be actively credentialed as a National Register Health Service Psychologist and in good standing.
    • Candidates must have fewer than 10 years of postdoctoral experience (received their degree on or after January 2015).

    Applicants for this award must submit a letter (two pages maximum) detailing their achievements in developing innovative practice tools, expanding access to mental health services, integrating psychology into health care systems, or driving policy and advocacy efforts that elevate the profession.
