The Works: July 4th On Fayetteville Street Festival Information
Date and Times
The Works 2018 food vendor portion will operate Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 from Noon-10PM.
IMPORTANT DATES:
APPLICATION DEADLINE w/ photo of booth set up: 5:00pm Monday, April 23, 2018
VENDOR ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION by: 5:00pm Monday, May 7, 2018
TFE PERMIT AND PAYMENT: 5:00pm Monday, June 4, 2018
**VENDOR FEE: 5:00pm Monday, May 21, 2018
**There is a late fee of $100 for payments turned in after May 21. We will not accept any payment after June 8th.**
Purpose
The ‘Works: July 4th on Fayetteville Street is a one-day festival celebrating Independence Day in downtown Raleigh. Attendance is estimated at 80,000.
Applications
Please fill out the attached application with a photo of your booth and full menu with pricing and submit by Monday, April 23rd, 2018
**You will be notified on or before Monday, May 7th, of your acceptance.
TFE
Please check out the Wake County Temporary Food Establishment page: http://www.wakegov.com/food/festivals/Pages/tfe.aspx. A TFE permit is required to sell food or drink at a special event. There is a $75 fee for each TFE permit issued due at least 15 calendar days prior to each event. Payments should be called in to 919.856.7400. Some vendors may be exempt from the North Carolina regulations, so please check to see if this exemption applies to you.
Registration Fee, Tents and/or Booths
Upon vendor application approval the vendor fee will be due no later than Monday, May 21, 2018. There is a late fee of $100 for payments turned in after May 21st. We will not accept any payment after June 8th The registration fees for The Works: July 4th on Fayetteville Street are as follows:
FOOD VENDOR SPACE:
10x10 space = $400
10x20 space = $550
10x30 space = $700
Mobile Unit = $700
Electricity
Electricity will be provided for an additional fee.
The electrical fees are as follows:
110 volts = Per 20 amp service $50.00
220 volts = $200.00 (Vendor needs to provide 150 foot power cable)

Set-Up and Tear Down
SET-UP:
Early Set-Up is allowed on Tuesday, July 3rd (8:00pm – 11:00pm)
Day-Of Set-Up Wednesday, July 4th (6:30am - 11:00am)
ALL FOOD VENDORS NEEDING PERMITTING MUST BE SET UP BY 11:00am July 4th, 2017
TEAR DOWN:
Breakdown is permitted no earlier than 10:00 pm on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Inclement Weather
The exhibitor acknowledges that he/she assumes the risk that the festival may be canceled due to inclement weather or any other reason at the sole discretion of The Raleigh Convention Center. In the event of cancellation, all fees are nonrefundable.
Rules & Regulations
CHARACTER OF VENDOR SPACE
Vendors are responsible for maintaining acceptable standards of sanitation within their booths and for disposing of trash into designated trash receptacles. Vendors operating with the use of grease/oil must have pig mats or other sufficient forms of ground covering to protect pavement from grease/oil spills. These materials must be disposed of offsite. Do not pour grease/oil down drains.
EVENT AREA
All exhibits must be designed and operated in good taste with the best interest of the Event and public safety. Decorations/tents/banners may not be nailed, taped, tacked or otherwise fastened to city infrastructure, trees, or fixtures. The tent must be weighted properly according to Fire Marshall Safety code.
FLOOR PLAN / VENDOR LOCATION
Staff will make Vendor location assignments approximately two (2) weeks prior to the event. Space assignment priority will be given based upon the date of receipt of completed application and payment as well as type product/service. If you have a special request for your booth location, please list it on this form and we will make best efforts to accommodate your request. Staff reserves the right to make modifications to the layout of the event space if circumstances warrant, at its sole discretion. Vendor area must be confined to the space contracted and provided. Vendor space must not obstruct other exhibits, backing sidewalk, or walk paths.
