Her Story: Third Thursday Roundtable Series
Being “It All”: Keeping Values Straight and Valuing Your Strengths
ABA Section of Litigation
Woman Advocate Committee
Thursday, May 17, 2018
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PT | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM MT | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CT | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
Panel members will address ways in which attorneys have successfully merged family with career. The presentation will address how each person can identify her own personal and professional values, prioritize family or career at different times and in different ways, and return to work after time away. There is no right or wrong; there is no standard measure of success, whether as parent or lawyer. Ultimately, each person can embrace her own “normal” and professionally capitalize on the strengths and skills that come from having a vibrant personal life.
This roundtable is inspired by chapter four of the ABA book, Her Story: Lessons in Success From Lawyers Who Live It, available on the ABA website.
The Roundtable will be moderated by Teresa Beck, Co-Chair of California Litigation and Chair of Arizona Litigation for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
Speakers include:
Gindi Eckel Vincent – Project Counsel, Exxon Mobil Chemical Company
Andrea Doneff – Circuit Mediator, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit
Janet Wallace – a founding partner of O'Leary Wallace LLP
