Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
This agreement applies to all volunteers associated with and/or involved in the activities or affairs of The STEAM Generation (“TSG”). This includes all activity associated with TSG at its main office and all outreach sites locations.
All data, materials, knowledge and information generated through, originating from, or having to do with TSG or persons associated with our activities, including contractors, is to be considered privileged and confidential and is not to be disclosed to any third party. All pages, forms, information, designs, documents, printed matter, policies and procedures, conversations, messages (received or transmitted), resources, contacts, e-mail lists, e-mail messages, client, staff or public information is confidential and the sole property of TSG.
This also includes, but is not limited to, any information of, or relating to, our staff, clients, operations and activities. This privilege extends to all forms and formats in which the information is maintained and stored, including, but not limited to hardcopy, photocopy, microform, automated and/or electronic form.
Client information, including all file information, is not be disclosed to any third party, under any circumstances, without the consent of the TSG employee that is supervising you and the Executive Director.
Any disclosure, misuse, copying or transmitting of any material, data or information, whether intentional or unintentional, will subject you to disciplinary action and/or prosecution, according to the procedures set by TSG and any applicable laws.
The STEAM Generation Volunteer Policies
I certify that the facts contained in this application are accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand and agree that falsified information or significant omissions may disqualify me from further consideration as a The STEAM Generation (TSG) volunteer and may be considered justification for dismissal from volunteer positions if discovered at a later date. I also realize that this information will ONLY be shared between TSG Staff members. In consideration of being given clearance to work as a volunteer for TSG, a nonprofit organization, I accept sole responsibility for any injury that I may incur during the time I am working on property operated by TSG. By signing this application, I further release TSG. and their employees and/or agents from any claims or causes of action which may arise from any accident or injury caused by any reason.
Except for our Volunteer STEM Classroom Assistant oportunity, we select volunteer placed based on interests and skills that match current volunteer openings. When reviewing applications and assigning volunteer placements TSG will consider your available time, fit of skills and needs, leadership experience. Availability of placements varies. Applicants are not guaranteed a volunteer placement. Volunteers who do not adhere to the rules and procedures of TSG or who fail to satisfactorily perform their volunteer assignment are subject to dismissal. Possible grounds for dismissal may include, but are not limited to, the following: gross misconduct or insubordination, theft or misuse of TSG materials, abuse or mistreatment of clients, staff or other volunteers, failure to abide by TSG policies and procedures, and failure to satisfactorily perform assigned duties. TSG also forbids volunteers from directly soliciting program participants and attendees though there are other opportunities for visibility and professional development.
