Discover Your Gifts Survey
This survey will help you discover your gifts, and we encourage you to confirm them by using them with other Christians in ministry to the glory of God. An access code is no longer needed to complete the survey.

Give thanks for the gifts you have been given, and ask the Spirit for guidance in using them. Don’t be disappointed if you learn that you do not have some gifts you desire. God may choose to develop those or other gifts in you later. You can trust, though, that God has gifted others in the body of Christ with the gifts you do not have.

Be content and willing to learn from God’s distribution of gifts and ministry in the church. Affirm one another and celebrate together the gifts you have. Build each other up by noting how you can see particular gifts in one another as you do ministry together. Thank the Spirit for the wonderful diversity within the body of Christ (Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12), knowing that you all benefit each other to the glory of God as you use your gifts.

How to Complete the Survey

The survey has 80 questions and will take about 30-45 minutes to complete.

This survey uses a scale of 0-7 (with 7 as the strongest value) to help you state how strongly each statement describes you. Read each statement and select the number that shows how strongly you identify with the statement (how often this is true of you, how deeply this is true of you, and so on).

Work quickly. Be honest in your answers—but don’t worry about giving a
“wrong” answer; your first impressions are usually correct.

Results

You will be able to view your responses and results. You will also be able to email your results—and a PDF of your results—to yourself, the leader of this study, or to your church office. You’ll need a copy of the results for use in your next session (see “What Are My Spiritual Gifts?” in session 3).

Important: Be sure to save a copy of your results for future reference. We recommend retaking the survey every 3-5 years to see how God is developing you to serve as an increasingly gifted member of the kingdom.

Once you’ve discovered your spiritual gifts, learn more about them in the Gift Studies section of your Discover Your Gifts student book. You can purchase the book at FaithAliveResources.org/DiscoverYourGifts or by calling 800-333-8300. A leader's guide is also available for use in group settings.

Take time also to learn about other gifts so that you can recognize and appreciate the gifts of others. Remember that the purpose of discovering your gifts is to serve well together as the body of Christ, to the glory of God and God's kingdom.
