Indonesia Mengglobal Mentor Application Form 2017

Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor. Mentors play important roles to help mentees explore school options, review essays, provide tips on obtaining letters of recommendations and acing standardized tests, and ensure that their school applications are complete and of high quality. Mentors are required to commit around two hours per week during the period of the mentorship program. Your responses will be shared only to the mentees within the mentorship circlel. Once submitted, the application cannot be edited. Application will be received until 10 June 2017, 23.59 WIB, and selected mentors will be announced shortly afterwards.

Mentees are applying to different levels of education: bachelor, masters, PhD. For application to what level of education are you willing to mentor?

All applicants will be evaluated on the basis of fit to the selected mentees, academic and professional achievements, and indicated commitment to the mentorship program.

The mentorship program will require time commitment of at least two hours per week for the period between July to September 2017. Scheduling is flexible and will adjust to mentor's location and activities. Will you be committed to allocate the required time including reviewing mentee's assignments and having one-on-one feedback sessions?

The mentor is expected to help up to 2 (two) mentees who are interested to apply to similar program (field of study), school, or scholarship program. Are you willing to assist more than one mentee? Note that if your answer is 'No', we would assign you only to one mentee.

Are you willing to accept and cooperate with any mentee who is assigned to you?

Most communication throughout the mentorship program will take place over emails, Skype sessions, or phone calls. Are you committed to prepare technical arrangements to enable such communications, including to pay for your own communication expenses?

Most communication throughout the mentorship program will be in English. Are you comfortable in using English verbally and in writing throughout the program?

School application is a personal process, and we respect the rights of privacy of the selected mentees regarding their application process. Are you willing to maintain the anonimity of the selected mentees throughout and after the program?

If you are selected as a mentor, are you willing to share your name for publication in Indonesia Mengglobal's articles or social media channels?

This year, we are giving the chance for Mentors to get to know prospective mentee applicants beforehand and participate in mentee screening process by being an interviewer. You will have the opportunity to meet and learn more about the applicants as well as develop insights into what it is like being an interviewer. The interviews will be held virtually and are scheduled to take place between 17 June to 7 July 2017. Are you interested in being an Interviewer?
