CHURCH FINANCIAL INFORMATION AND RECORDS
During the course of employment or ministry service, some individuals may have access to or be responsible for the handling or management of financial matters of Grace Community Church. This may include but may not be limited to employment-related financial matters, offerings, expenses and revenues, bank or investment accounts, etc.
Any employees or staff with access to any financial records at Grace is expected to handle and manage such information with the strictest confidence as well as the highest of ethical practices.
COPYRIGHT PROTECTION AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
In accordance with the Copyright Act of 1994, staff (paid or unpaid) are not entitled to any copyright or moral right in or arising from any work produced in the course of employment with Grace. This includes any program, strategy, system, music, or lyrics developed during employment with Grace. Any copyright or merchandising rights in such work shall be the sole and exclusive property of Grace.
Any form of copyright infringement is likewise, prohibited. Any church owned copy, recording, or other reproducing machines or computers should not be used to copy or reproduce any forms of copyright materials for ministry or personal use in an unauthorized manner.
DEALING WITH MEDIA/GIVING INTERVIEWS
The approval of Grace must be obtained before any written material, written statement and/or verbal statement(s) are provided by any Grace staff (paid or unpaid) to the media. All interviews/information given on behalf of Grace will come strictly from our Elder Board Mediator.
As a church entity, personal information and/or personal situations may be discussed or provided verbally or in writing (emails, texts, prayer chains, social media, data entry notes, etc), that are private and sensitive in nature. Such information may be discussed through various ministries, counseling, prayer, or other means and shall be treated with respect, dignity and in careful confidence.
