Simply put, baptism is an outward display and celebration of your inward decision to trust Christ with your eternity. It’s an act of obedience, a step of acknowledgement that is representative of the act that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and walked out of the grave, alive, so each of us can have eternal life. When you step into water, you are letting the world know that you have walked into a new life of faith in Jesus Christ and that you are committing to follow him down a new path. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, baptism is the next right step in your spiritual journey.
One more thing! Because this step of obedience requires a personal understanding of what Jesus did for us, why we need him and what this act of obedience signifies, we believe that children must have reached an age of understanding and accountability. This is different for every child but for most children, this is around the age of 9. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
The next baptism will be in the beginning of 2018! Watch for details! So call the family, get the cameras ready and sign up below to receive more information as it approaches!
