All wines must be "bottle ready" when the bottling trailer arrives. This includes polish filtration or sterile EK filtration if necessary. In-line pad filtration is NOT allowed in series to the bottling trailer.
The filtration available in the bottling truck is to be considered an insurance policy rather than an actual "filtration". IF WINES ARE NOT BOTTLE READY, OR WINERY IS UNPREPARED FOR ANY REASON TO DO SCHEDULED SERVICES THAT DAY, WE WILL CHARGE OUR DAILY MINIMUM FEE OF $2700.00.
Boutique Mobile Bottling provides two 30" sanitary housings. Filters needed for sterile bottling will be sold at cost to the winery. We keep a variety of cartridges in stock: .45 Membrane, .50 Pre-Filter, and 10 Micron bug catcher.
Wines must be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit prior to commencement of bottling; this will help eliminate condensation on bottles, which will enhance label application. Boutique Mobile Bottling cannot be held responsible for label issues after bottling, due to cold and/or damp storage of finished cased goods.
Power requirements for the trailer are 240 volt, 3 phase, 50-60 amp or feel free to rent a generator. Winery is supply electricity.
The winery will provide 6- 7 personnel capable of performing the following activities:
- 1 person to dump glass
- 1 person to apply capsules & quality control
- 2 persons to pack off & quality control
- 3 persons to seal & pallatize cases
The winery will supply 2 sanitary buckets.
The winemaker or elected cellar person must be present upon arrival. Winery staff member must be able to make decisions and must be aware of the location of all supplies necessary for bottling.
The winery is to provide a forklift suitable to move product to and from bottling trailer in an efficient manner; taking into consideration it may be necessary to drive the forklift on gravel or other uneven surfaces.
The winery is expected to have all supplies on winery premises prior to bottling dates. This includes glass, corks, capsules, labels, etc.
WINE QUALITY & QUALITY CONTROL ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITES OF THE WINERY
We assume that the winery carries statutory workers' compensation insurance (applies only to personnel furnished by the winery) for the period covered during your bottling dates.
Customer agrees to fully exonerate, indemnify, defend and save Boutique Mobile Bottling and it's officers and employees harmless from or against all claims or actions and all expenses incidental to the defense of any such claims or product or persons other than Boutique Mobile Bottling's employees in connection with, or arising directly from the operations to be carried out hereunder. This shall apply to all claims, losses, injury and/or damages.
Boutique Mobile Bottling will withold and retain 2 bottles of library wine per 100 cases of wine, or 2 bottles for every lot change for quality assurance purposes. We will not retain any samples for label only projects.
If bottling location is over 50 miles, an overnight hotel stay may apply.
An hourly wage of $200.00 will be charged for downtime caused by winery that exceeds more than 30 minutes.
