This state certified 40-hour course will build on the extrication and rescue skills learned in the Operations course. The course focuses heavily on advanced stabilization techniques and equipment such as buttress systems, and introduces students to more sophisticated and technical rescue equipment such as low pressure airbags and cutting torches. Students will perform actual stabilization and extrication on more challenging equipment such as tractors, augers, semi-trucks, and school busses. Students will also practice other important skills such as incident management and control and helicopter landing zone set-up. Prerequisite for certification: OSFM Vehicle Machinery Ops, Haz Mat Ops and Rope Ops
The state exam will be given at the end of the course.
After Aug. 10, 2018 non-payment departments will be forfeited in place of students on the waiting list
