  • E911 Address Request

  •               Address requests are reviewed by City of Gainesville staff for verification and are forwarded to the Alachua County Fire Rescue E911 Communications Branch for addressing. You will be contacted by email once addresses have been issued for your project. Processing time is between 5-7 business days. Once an address is assigned, it should be posted on the property to assist with Emergency Services identification.

    The 911 Communications Section issues addresses only upon request from the City of Gainesville Planning or Building Division, and does not address vacant property.

    -Easement access confirmed

    -Location of structure within parcel

    -Direction that the front door and driveway are facing

    -North arrow

    -Existing road designations
