Parent Services Information 

 

Haven Nanny Services, LLC is a full-service agency offering permanent and temporary nanny placement services.

PERMANENT PLACEMENTS
Our Permanent Placement Service is for families seeking a long-term, committed nanny. Permanent placements can be either full-time or part-time, depending on the number of hours per week the Nanny will be workings.

Full-Time Nannies generally work at least 30 hours per week. Part-Time Nannies generally work a maximum of 30 hours per week. Summer placements are included in our Permanent Placement Service.

Permanent placements require the position to be at least three months in duration. Typically, a nanny looking for a long-term position will commit to at least one (1) year of employment.

Nannies placed in permanent positions have a variety of responsibilities. These responsibilities include caring for your child's needs as outlined by you and the Nanny. They may also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your home, as it relates to your child/children, as outlined by you and the Nanny.

In most cases, permanent placements require approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on the families' requirements and the availability of nannies who fit those requirements.

TEMPORARY SERVICES
Our Temporary Services are available to our permanent clients and to families needing occasional care for evening sitting. These services require a minimum of four (4) hours and can be utilized for a sequence of days or weeks if necessary.

Temporary nannies are screened in the same manner as permanent nannies.

Parent Agreement 

 

The following constitutes the Agreement between Haven Nanny Services, LLC, and the Parent. 

 
DEFINITIONS 

Haven Nanny: Haven Nanny Services, LLC.

Nanny: A person provided by referral to the Parent from Haven Nanny Services, LLC, to assist the Parent with permanent or temporary childcare services.

 
Parent: The custodial Parent(s)/legal guardian(s)/authorized caregiver(s) of the child/children. Documentation must be provided evidencing the relationship (i.e., birth certificate and/or court order). 

 
Nanny Fee: The fee is agreed upon between the Parent and the Nanny. Once Haven Nanny introduces the Parent and Nanny, the agency will have no role in the payment of the Nanny. 

Agency Fee: An initial non-refundable registration fee of $600 is required to begin the search for the Nanny. The registration fee includes access to up to six Nanny applications to the Parent or up to three Nanny interviews by the Parent, whichever comes first. Up to three additional Nanny applications or one additional interview, whichever comes first, may be provided for an additional $100 fee. Once the Nanny has accepted an offer of employment from the Parent, a final finders fee of $600 will be due. The full-service fee for nanny placement is $1,200 unless additional Nanny applications or interviews are requested at the above rate. The time limit of this contract is one year from the signed date.

 
The Parent understands and agrees that any Nanny represented by Haven Nanny will not come into contact with the Parent's children or begin working for the Parent before clearing an extensive background check. 

Agreements regarding the Nanny's compensation, specific care of the Parent's children, and any other agreements are between the Parent and the Nanny. 

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS

The Parent assumes all risk of damage or injury to persons and/or property that may occur to, or by the acts and/or omissions of, the Nanny. The Parent shall hold Haven Nanny harmless and indemnify Haven Nanny from any claims, damages, and/or liability of any kind of persons and/or property, directly or indirectly related to the actions or inactions of the Nanny, within the scope of the Nanny's employment with the Parent, however claimed, at law and/or in equity. 

 
EMPLOYMENT TAXES

A Nanny provided under this contract is an employee of the Parent and not Haven Nanny. The Parent agrees to pay all Agency Fees on a timely basis. All applicable federal and state tax requirements pertaining to household employees are the Parent's responsibility. Haven Nanny does not provide Nanny information of a confidential nature to the Parent for this purpose. Such information may be obtained directly from the Nanny by the Parent if required, and if given, must remain confidential.
