CONTRACT AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION
By purchasing anything from Smitten Event Invitations, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to our Terms + Conditions.
The Design Process
Our invitation suites in The Collection are thoughtfully created. There are many options to choose from including semi-custom designs and fully custom designs.
We carefully put together your custom proofs, and we do our best to catch all mistakes. Once your proof is received, it is your responsibility to review it for any spelling, grammar, or informational mistakes. One your proof is approved, production will begin and any changes will require a reprint with applicable fees.
Proofing
You will receive up to two complimentary proofs. If additional proofs are desired, a $40 proofing fee (per proof) will be added to your final balance.
It is extremely important that you thoroughly check your proofs for correct times, dates, and spelling of all words, including names and places, in addition to the design elements. Once final approval for the Final Proof is received, you are giving Smitten Event Invitations permission to print all pieces as they appear on your Final Proof. Once approved, no changes can be made and Smitten Event Invitations will not be held responsible for any errors found after your approval.
Production Times
Within a few business days of purchasing an invitation suite, we will reach out to you for more information on your customization selections. Please allow 3 to 5 weeks for production, from the time of final approval until the ship date. Please allow an extra 1 to 3 weeks for venue illustrations and envelope calligraphy. If you will need your invitation suite sooner, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Pricing
Smitten Event Invitations reserves the right to change prices without notice. Pricing changes may be affected by an increase or decrease in supplier, service and/or production costs. Quotes and estimates are valid for 30 days.
Colors and True Tones
Colors and tones may vary from screen to screen. Please keep this in mind when making your color selections. Samples are available upon request.
Copyright Design Property
All images, designs and concepts are property of Smitten Event Invitations. Smitten Event Invitations retains all rights to use the preliminary and completed designs for the purpose of display or for other clients, upon request. This includes all images and designs sent during the proofing process.
Payment & Rush Orders
Orders may be considered RUSH if they are needed within a 4 week turnaround. In most cases, orders can be completed in 3-5 weeks, but if needed sooner, an additional fee will be added to your invoice. Rush orders are accepted depending on availability and the requirements of the project. Final payment is due prior to printing. Smitten Event Invitations currently accepts credit cards through square and maintains a store on ETSY.
Returns & Cancellations
If there is a need to cancel your order, please contact Smitten Event Invitations right away. If your final approval has not been received and your project has not gone into production, you are responsible for your deposit and any materials that have been purchased. If your project has gone into the production process you are responsible for the entire amount. Because of the personalization of custom stationery, orders are non-refundable, without exception. Every effort is made to assure your satisfaction and stationery is NOT printed until final approval is received from the client. If there is an error on the part of Smitten Event Invitations, we will do our best to correct the problem.
Delivery
All shipping and postage will be assumed by the client. Smitten Event Invitations is not responsible for any damages incurred during shipping and/or mailing or invitations that are not delivered/lost during transit. Any shipping charges will be added to your final invoice. You may also pick-up your order to avoid shipping charges if you are in the Atlanta area. Invite suites are mailed to clients in as few packages as possible to minimize shipping costs. Whenever possible, shipping boxes will be recycled to decrease waste.
Shipping/Mailing of Wedding Invitations
Invitations occasionally incur additional postage because of their weight, or due to the shape of the finished piece. Please see sizing and postage prices on the USPS website in planning your invitations. In most cases, one forever stamp will not be enough to cover the weight of the invitation.
Deposit & Payment
The deposit for each project (save the dates, invitations, thank you’s etc.) is 50% of the total balance. The deposit is due at the time of your order. Design will not begin without the deposit. The deposit will be applied to the total amount due for the wedding invitations/other products. The deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid in full before sending to printer.
Order Changes
All changes, and additions (such as invitation count) must be made before invitations are sent to the printer. Once approved and sent to the printer, the client is responsible for any changes. This does not apply to special arrangements, or any other last minute agreement/sale.
Promotion
You agree that we may take photographs of invitations, stationery, or other creations. We reserve the right to use any of these photographs for our own reference, for display, or for promotion without compensation to you. Jenny Lemoine (Smitten Event Invitations) will retain the full copyright on all images (including digital files) and reserves the right to display, publish/etc. for any reason.
