Technology Use
Just as technology has become an integral part of our world, it has also become an integral part of education. Students at Glenpool Public School will use iPads, Chromebooks, and computers in their classes as a routine part of their education. Students will be assigned a school email account through Google for Education and will have access to Google applications and/or Microsoft applications at school and at home through internet access.
The student policy has sections specific to the acceptable use of technology and cyber bullying. Parents and students must understand that violation of the policies or handbook provisions may result in disciplinary action including, but not limited to, suspension of and/or revocation of technology/internet privileges, and suspension from school.
The school district has taken reasonable precautions to ensure that access to controversial material is limited to the extent possible, but realize that it is not possible to guarantee that student's will never encounter objectionable material. I hereby release the school district from liability in the event that my child acquires inappropriate material through the use of the district's technology resources, including the internet.
