Incoming BFA Acting Scholarships
TMA Merit Scholarships are awarded to qualifying incoming BFA Acting Student. Recipients are announced in March for spring and summer terms, fall, and the following winter semesters. Scholarships range between $100 and half-tuition per semester or term. Any awarded amount applies first toward university financial holds, and then will automatically be deposited to a student’s checking account if all obligations have been met. Awards are nontransferable.
The Department of Theatre and Media Arts is unable to notify incoming students regarding scholarships until they have been accepted by the University and contacted by the Admissions Office. Please begin the admission process as soon as possible. Recipients must be registered for a minimum of twelve credits per semester, or six credits per term. They must be degree-seeking students either declared as a pre-major in Theatre or major in Theatre and Media Arts during the year for which they are applying. The Scholarship Committee reviews applications and recipients and award amounts are selected based on merit. Amounts awarded will vary according to the number of students who apply. Any student on Academic Probation is not eligible to receive an award.

I waive the right to see letters or forms of recommendation that are submitted regarding this merit application. I am committed to attending classes full-time during the terms/semesters I have marked above. I understand that if I do not enroll full-time during a term/semester for which I have applied, making me ineligible to accept money that could have been awarded to another student, my future Merit Scholarship applications may be denied.
