A Child’s Haven is happy to extend the opportunity for hands-on learning at our organization to interns interested in placement. Your credentials will be reviewed and a follow-up interview is required at the agency. After a successful interview with the Community Engagement Specialist, the candidate will be informed if they are approved for an internship. Successful placement is contingent upon completing the following documents and timely submission of requested items.
The following items are required to begin the application process:
- Completed internship application
- A copy of the candidate's school or program requirements for internships (including required hours and field)
- A current resume
- A copy of your diploma
The following items are required after acceptance to the internship and prior to the start of the internship:
- $68.25 in cash or a check made payable to A Child’s Haven for application fees and background checks.
- Central Registry Release / Compliance Statement
- Drug Test Authorization
- SAFE Finger Printing Request Form
- Results of a TB test paid for by prospective intern (a TB test can be administered onsite through our contracted nurse from GHS or through your own healthcare provider)
- Results of a medical health assessment paid for by prospective intern and administered by their healthcare provider
- Medical Statement
- Handbook Contract
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Agency / Volunteer Agreement
- Agreement to Submit Drug Testing / Release Drug Testing Results
- Legal Disclaimer
- Disciplinary Policy Agreement
All internship positions at A Child’s Haven are unpaid positions.
