  • Dear Prospective Parent:

The Odd Cat Sanctuary Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes in abandoned, homeless, and unwanted cats and kittens. It is our goal to place these pets into loving, caring, and forever homes. You are not purchasing a pet from us, you are agreeing to adopt and care for a living, breathing creature who deserves safety and love. Your answers may be our assurance that this animal will live in a good, permanent home. All of your answers and information are confidential.

All of the cats and kittens available for adoption are fully vetted, which includes a complete veterinarian checkup, combo testing for FIV/FeLV, spay/neuter, deworming, Revolution flea treatment, and if over the age of 7, we also include a complete blood workup. At times, these cats may require dental work, or other health related attention, which which we also take care of, prior to adoption.

To meet a pet, a potential adopter should fill out the adoption application, receive a homecheck, and be approved before meeting any cats. We do not use a first-come, first-serve process when adopting out cats, instead we focus on best fit for each individual cat. The process is intended to ensure a best-fit, long-term successful adoption for both the family and pet.

    • Please contact your vet (if applicable) to grant permission for TOCS  to speak to them.
    • Please contact your landlord (if applicable) and inform them we will be reaching out to confirm pets are allowed
    • The adoption fee is $250 for a kitten $200 for adult cats and $400 for a pair (dogs may be higher). **This fee has recently changed, please note.

  • Preliminary Approval Notice
Thank you for completing the initial adoption application with The Odd Cat Sanctuary! At this stage, your application will be reviewed through our initial screening process for preliminary approval. However, please note that preliminary approval does not guarantee adoption. The meet-and-greet portion of the process is an important step where we assess the match between you, your family, and the cat.

During the meet-and-greet, our team will consider various factors such as the environment, your interaction with the cat, and the overall compatibility. Based on these factors, we reserve the right to deny or postpone adoption for any reason in our discretion, even if preliminary approval has been granted.

Our goal is to ensure the best possible outcome for both you and the cat, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Thank you for supporting The Odd Cat Sanctuary, and we look forward to meeting you!
