• NJ Jr. Thespian Festival 2018 Registration-April 21, 2018

    This registration will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Please have all your school, student, and event information with you while you complete. The form does not have the ability to save in between sessions. Come alone, bring a few, or bring many of your students for a truly memorable time with other talented middle schools from our state to Toms River High School North. Theatre students from all over the state will be coming together to participate in workshops, socialize with other theatre students from around the state, and perform!       Teachers attending the festival will be able to earn Professional Development Credits. 6 Credit Hours will be earned for Saturday.

      Each attendee is provided with the ability to attend workshops, participate in a showcase, meet other Thespians, and enjoy a provided lunch. For insurance purposes, we are required to have the names of ALL adults (teachers, chaperones, and additional adults) accompanying the students to the festival. All adults and students will receive a name badge at the registration table. No one will be admitted to any areas of the festival without a name badge.

      One chaperone is required for every ten students attending the festival. (ex. 35 students requires four chaperones). These chaperones attend free of charge. A teacher/troupe director is considered a chaperone. If there are any additional adults attending, each additional adult must pay a $10 fee.

      A festival themed t-shirt is included with the registration cost, and will be given at the festival. Type the total number of t-shirts needed in each size. Include teachers, chaperones, and students. The t-shirts are adult sizes.

      A festival themed t-shirt for additional adults is not included with registration. A $5 additional charge will be applied if an additional adult would like a t-shirt. Type the total number of t-shirts needed per size. The t-shirts are adult sizes.

      Showcase spots are limited. Once you register to bring a Showcase, your request will be evaluated by the State Board. All applications will be reviewed by the Board. The chosen applicants will be contacted to fill out a full showcase form. It is optional to participate. Each school attending the festival is invited to bring a 10 minute (maximum) performance based Showcase from their school.       Individual Events are new for NJ Jr. Thespian Festival 2018! Students will be able to perform in an audition type setting, and get written feedback for their individual performances. It is designed for students to be able to perform in front of an audience, learn how to receive constructive feedback, and grow as a theatre student. Students may compete in one of the following events: Monologue, Duo Acting, Solo Musical Theatre, or Duet Musical Theatre. Up to 2 entrants may compete in each category. In order to participate in IEs, there is a $5 additional charge per student. No student substitutions are permitted.       The following is an invoice for festival registration. After submitting, a confirmation invoice will be emailed to you. A printed invoice with a check and/or purchase order must be mailed to Zach Bates, NJ Thespian Treasurer, 26 Gilbert Ave Westville, NJ 08093 and postmarked by Monday February 26, 2018. Please make checks out to NJ Thespians. If the check is not postmarked by that date, there will be a $25 late charge. Also, if there are any student drops to Individual Events, there will be a $5 drop fee per entrant.
