The State Star Counselor award program recognizes High School Guidance
Counselors who demonstrate commitment to the local program. The award is designed to recognize counselors who go above and beyond to provide opportunities for their students and their chapter to grow and improve.
Star Counselor Applicants must be a current middle school or high school counselors and hold an Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
Applicants should complete "PART ONE" to determine BRONZE, SILVER,
AND GOLD Ranking
Applicants who qualify for a GOLD Ranking are then eligible to apply for conisderation as a Sectional Star. To be considered, the applicant must complete the Star Supporting Faculty/Staff Application "PART TWO".
Nominee must agree to attend the State Award Interview Process if selected as the Regional Finalist from their region.
Nominee must agree to be in attendance at the Regional and State Award Ceremonies if nominated as a finalist in those areas.
