  • Naked Kisses Dog Rescue Foster Application

  • Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster home with Naked Kisses Dog Rescue (NKDR). Please be sure you are willing to commit to fostering if you complete this application. If you are more interested in adopting, that is a separate process.

For some dogs, foster care time could be a few weeks or a few months, and some can go as long as a year.  There is no way to know ahead of time how long it will take to get a dog adopted, so know it could be a short or long term commitment.

As a foster home, we ask that you work with our dogs while they are in your care in order to expose them to sights, sounds, and situations that they would normally experience in an adoptive home or while they’re in public.  We rely on your feedback on the needs, likes and dislikes of the foster dog to find them the best matched home.

Please be as thorough as possible when completing the application in order to ensure your application is processed in a timely manner. The information gathered here will only be used in the processing of your request to foster with NKDR and is only viewed by our application processor and the NKDR Board of Directors. All information remains confidential.  There are no bad or wrong answers.  Please be honest in your answers to help ensure a pleasant experience for everyone involved.

  • PLEASE READ:

You will be expected to keep the animal safe and secure, return it to NKDR when requested to do so, and not promise the animal to anyone or imply that you have the authority to approve a potential adoption. NKDR retains ownership of all animals placed in foster care, and will make all decisions regarding the adoption & placement of the animals fostered.

Unless otherwise arranged, the foster parent is responsible for providing all food, bedding, and toys for the animal while it is in their care at home. The foster parent is responsible for transporting the animals to and from an approved veterinary clinic for appointments, surgery, behavior evaluations, vaccinations, etc. The foster parent must have written approval from NKDR, prior to scheduling veterinary appointments, otherwise any unauthorized medical expenses will not be covered.

By agreeing "Yes" and submitting my application, I understand that filling out this application does not guarantee the foster placement of a NKDR dog. I have read and understand the statements above. I certify that all the information contained in this application is true and correct. I understand that although NKDR takes reasonable care to screen animals for foster care placement, it makes no guarantees relating to the animals’ health, behavior or actions. I understand that I receive foster care animals at my own risk and can decline to accept any animal for which NKDR has asked me to provide care. I acknowledge that NKDR is not responsible for any property damage or personal injury suffered by me, members of my household, including my own animals, or any third parties during a foster placement, and I assume liability to provide adequate controls to prevent such damage or injury.
