    Department Overview

    The Chapter Services Department is split into two segments:

    Purple segment: Large-sized chapters

      - Supervisor: Dr. Anthony Mack, Assistant Director of Chapter Services

    Gold segment: Geographically-assigned chapters

      - Supervisor: Dustin Stewart, Director of Chapter Services

    Role Overview

    The Chapter Service Consultant serves as the primary account manager for an assigned module of 18-22 chapters. Consultant positions require a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for operational improvement. This position will frequently engage with chapter stakeholders, analyze performance and campus data to drive decisions, and implement strategies to enhance chapter performance, all in alignment with Fraternity goals and objectives. This position requires significant travel.


    Duties & Responsibilities

    Operations Consulting

    - Develop expertise in all aspects of SAE chapter operations, including: recruitment, risk management, finances, member education, Ritual, etc.

    - Design annual development plans for assigned chapters and utilize project management skills and techniques to implement

    - Monitor individual chapters’ operations in collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen performance in alignment with Fraternity goals and values

    - Actively engage other SAE teams and partners to develop and implement performance improvement strategies when necessary

    - Complete at least 1 site visit per academic year for each assigned chapter

    - Collect, analyze, and operationalize performance data and insights and complete regular reports

    Stakeholder Engagement

    - Actively and consistently interact with all relevant stakeholders, including collegiate members, alumni, campus partners, other SAE entities and teams

    - Professionally represent the Fraternity at organization events, industry conferences, alumni engagements, and during work travel

    - Collaborate with the Alumni Engagement team to recruit alumni advisors for all chapters

    Other duties as assigned (may include…)

    - Assist the Education team in driving event registrations

    - Assist the membership and records team in maintaining database information

    - Contribute to the development of Fraternity programs and new services creation

    - Increase visibility of SAE Foundation programs such as Foundation scholarships

    Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; business, management, education, psychology, or social sciences degrees a plus 

    - 1-2 years of professional work experience preferred; extensive involvement in chapter or campus leadership and/or internships OR a graduate degree in any of the above-named subjects may be considered in lieu of work experience

    - Familiarity with or willingness to learn Salesforce, Google Suite, and project management techniques, tools, and software

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Passion for SAE Fraternity and commitment to its values

    - Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary

    - Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement skills

    - Must be comfortable utilizing phone and video conferencing tools frequently

    - Must be willing to travel at least 80% during academic terms (August-May)

    - Must be a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon

    Compensation & Benefits 

    - Starting salary: $50,000.00/yr
